Water retention often occurs when the body is too acidic.  Therefore addressing the challenge from that perspective could be the most productive.  What causes our bodies to be acidic?  (SUGAR, CAFFEINE, DAIRY . . . and STRESS)  Eliminating the first three and managing the 4th could have a tremendous positive effect.  Fortunately therapeutic-grade essential oils can assist in stress management.  J

DRINKING MORE WATER can also be quite helpful as the body holds onto water when it is feeling deprived.

LAVENDER & PEPPERMINT

LAVENDER and PEPPERMINT are two of my very favorite oils – and two of the three that I NEVER leave home without.  They are incredibly versatile and can be applied topically, inhaled, massaged into the scalp, or taken internally.

Note:  Peppermint is considered a “hot” oil and may feel warm or cool when applied to the skin.  In addition it is very important NOT to get it near the eyes as it will cause the eyes to water.

COLITIS (IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME)
Colitis is an inflammation of the bowel which is also known as irritable bowel syndrome.  The diagnosis is extremely common, and the drugs prescribed may make the symptoms go away temporarily, but they usually return with even greater vengeance.  Colitis is often stress-related, but there is also the digestive component that may need to be addressed.

TRANQUIL and STRESS AWAY essential oil blends are perfect for dealing with stress.  PEACE & CALMING, VALOR, LAVENDER, ROMAN CHAMOMILE, IDAHO BALSAM FIR, and others can be quite effective for reducing stress.

DIGIZE, COPAIBA, PEPPERMINT, and SPEARMINT can assist in aiding the digestive process and eliminating the symptoms of colitis.

It may also be helpful to take INNER DEFENSE and LONGEVITY to combat any infection.  Remember that “it is” always means inflammation, which usually includes “infection”.

PAIN IN LIMBS THAT SEEMS TO “MOVE AROUND”

Please do not ever feel as if you are disturbing me with your questions.  There are just some times when I am not able to get back to you as rapidly as I do at other times . . . so you may have to be patient (especially for the next 3 weeks) . . .

Essential oils do not interfere with homeopathic treatment.  However, PEPPERMINT should be used at least 30 minutes apart from the homeopathic remedies. The FRAGRANCE would not have anything to do with whether or not an essential oil would interfere.

Homeopathy is at one end of the spectrum; therapeutic-grade essential oils are at the other end.  Homeopathy employs the energy of the plants.  Essential oils contain the essence of the entire plant itself.  Homeopathy works.  Essential oils usually work faster.

What would I do if it were me?

* My first choice would be to have a RAINDROP THERAPY SESSION or to use the essential oils of the Raindrop Collection on my feet (or the sacrum – the base of the spine.), layering the oils one by one, waiting 2 minutes between oils.
* I would add DEEP RELIEF ROLL-ON as the last oil, rolling it over the sacrum.
* I would continue using the 7 single oils and 2 blends layered on the feet (or sacrum) every day for one week and DEEP RELIEF on the sacrum.  After that, I would use the oils at least one time each week on either the bottoms of the feet or the base of the spine and continue using DEEP RELIEF at least one time each day.

NOTE:  The essential oils of the Everyday Oils Collection contain many oils that may have chemical components that could assist in coming to balance.  FRANKINCENSE and LAVENDER come to my mind first.  In addition, PANAWAY and PEACE & CALMING may be helpful.  COPAIBA may also be effective for pain, and it magnifies the effects of the other oils.

Myrrh essential oil gives my skin a youthful glow and has helped diminish some wrinkles in my forehead. When people try to guess my age they are shocked when I tell them my age. I do have a warning for those wanting to do this it burns skin. You want to be careful where you put the oil.

The way you do it is tie a piece of thread tightly around the base of the skin tag as close to the skin as possible. Then daily you add a drop of oregano oil onto the skin tag. Depending on how big it is will dictate how long it will take for the skin tag to fall off. Some take a week. Some take two weeks.

What happens to the skin tag is it turns black then falls off never to return again. One thing I was worried about is my skin creates keloids which is scar tissue on the outside of the skin. I was afraid this method would create a keloid scar but it didn’t.

Having the increase of skin tags under my arms and under the front of my bra I applied lemon oil every morning after showering. Within 2 weeks the tags have gotten smaller and disappeared within 5 weeks. I also used lemon (1 drop) on my dogs skin tags and they also responded in the same manner. Such an easy remedy. Skin tags seem to be a viral infection and respond well to the same protocol as removing moles. One person wrote that applying lemon oil daily to his skin flaps, they dried up and fell off.

Mole protocol, also per the Essential Oils Desk Reference, calls for oils of Frankincense, Geranium, Birch/Wintergreen, Lavender and Oregano, and the blend Melrose.

OCOTEA AND PREGNANCY

I used Ocotea when I was 6 months pregnant at convention – I used a LOT of it internally – probably 8 drops/day. I lost about five pounds in less than a week so I elected not to take it any longer because that wasn’t the goal when I was pregnant.
My daughter is 100% perfectly healthy and is very alert. I gave raindrops while pregnant and used every single oil that I wanted to except the hormonal-type oils (Clary Sage, Sclaressence, Fennel, etc.) which I used which I was in labor. The warnings for not using oils when pregnant were based on experiences of people using oils that may have been adulterated but not necessarily YLEO. I just wanted to post this so you could be comfortable using your oils in confidence. Oh yeah – I also gave raindrops to a man with shingles while I was pregnant and I know two other moms who didn’t use oils during pregnancy because they were worried about using them and they both got H1N1. I didn’t get anything. Not even the sniffles. It was an amazing time for me and at 41 – not what I was expecting. I had 25 hours of labor at home with a midwife and used the oils for that as well.
Another note regarding Ocotea – after my baby was about a month old I started doing ocotea and copaiba in capsules and it started to dry up my milk so I quit. At least I feel that is what was causing it – I was doing grapefruit as well so who knows.

I had blood sugar problems with my first child and this time I used the core supplements and lots of NingXia Red and had absolutely no blood sugar issues with this child and I was only 27 with the first one. Thank goodness for these quality oils and supplements.

On 12/16/02 a routine PSA test showed a level of 5.6 (above 4.0 is cause for concern and investigation) with enlargement of prostate via ‘DRE’. Was advised to have biopsy by doctor as well as by a family member who was a nurse. Respectfully declined the offer. Started shortly there after on ProGen from Young Living per recommended daily intake with no other protocol. On 4/16/03, followup exam and PSA showed .5 with very slight enlargement. Reduced daily intake to one per day. Each six month follow up has showed same number. Am I happy or what? No slice and dice! Urology doctor says my number is better than his!! No, he wasn’t interested in how I did it.

Lowered prostate antigen level

My husband had a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) level of 4.1. The doctor recommended that he have a biopsy. He told the doctor he wanted to first try an alternative method to lower the PSA level. He applied Mister oil daily and also applying the oil to the inner left ankle. He also drinks Berry juice. At his 3 month check-up the blood work determined that his PSA level had lowered to 2.96! No biopsy needed! The doctor was in awe that the PSA level had lowered and told him that he was the first patient he had seen that had used his own method of treatment with success. I have a client who had gone through radiation for Prostate Cancer about 1 year ago. On a follow-up visit to the doctor which included blood work he found that his PSA level had been gradually increasing beyond a comfortable level (5.4). The doctor wanted to remove his prostate. He decided to give the oils and supplements a chance, ‘What have I got to lose’.

He started the following regiment on Jan. 1st: 2 ounces of Ningxia Red daily, ProGen as directed, Mister on his perineum, Balance Complete, Longevity, and Protec enema nightly (1 tablespoon). His doctor wanted him to take another PSA level in two weeks. He pushed the doctor off so that it would be a month before the next PSA to give the products a chance to work. He called me crying on Feb. 2. His PSA level had dropped to 1.8!!!! Besides the wonderful news about his new PSA level, he has more energy, and is getting complements from everyone he knows about his renewed health. PSA lowered using essential oils

My PSA was at 4.95. My doctor recommended a biopsy, but I declined. Since this was so invasive, I wanted to put essential oils to work. My doctor said that I had six weeks, then he would retest the PSA. If the count was still high, he would strongly consider the biopsy. I followed the recommended oils from the EDR.

Since I am a Priest, I was happy that the oils recommended were biblical oils. I used a rectal retention consisting of 10 drops Frankincense, 15 drops Myrrh and 3 drops Sage mixed with 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil. I used this 3 times/week for 6 weeks. I also used this mixture on the vita-flex area on the foot inside the ankles every day. This was followed by diluting the same essential oils mixed with 50% olive oil (using 2-3 drops per application) and applied topically between the rectum and scrotum daily. I also took Pro-Gen daily.

Well, after six weeks, my PSA was 2.5! My doctor said that I no longer needed a biopsy. What a Blessing! I am continuing this regimen for another month or so. I felt that this message of my healing needed to passed on so I praised the essential oils to my parishioners.

PROSTATE CANCER

My Dad has had prostate cancer off and on for the last 25 years.  They have given him chemo and radiation a number of times and a number of different ways and have been able to put it into remission for a period of time.  Each time the cancer has come back more quickly.  This last time when the cancer came back my Parents had to look for a Dr. that would help, because most all of them told my Dad he had had all the radiation and chemo his body could stand.  During this time they overdosed him twice.  Once it was bad enough that they called the family together because they did not feel he would make it.  He will be 85 the end of March.

For the last 15 or so years, as long as I’ve been in YL oils, I have asked for him to try the oils, and he has always refused…”they stink”

Toward the end of the summer my Dad’s PSA count started to climb.  They finally found a new Dr that told them there was a new type radiation treatment that they could try.  It did not work, and his count continued its upward climb.  A CAT scan showed the cancer had moved to the bones.

From Nov to Dec it jumped from 83 to 238.  The Dr told him that he had had all the treatments his body could stand.  Another Dr. told him that “when my Dad’s count went that high he only lasted 2 months.  The Drs also had him on some drug that was making him sick and giving him sores all over his face that wouldn’t heal.  He quit using the drugs, but the sores would not heal nor go away.

Toward the end of Dec they come and asked if there was anything I could do to extend his life.  I told him that I couldn’t guarantee anything, but I knew of a number of oils that had been used successfully in fighting cancer.  He gave me the green light.

At different conventions I have heard Gary talk about using oils to fight cancer.  In Ecuador last spring he told of a man with advanced prostate cancer that had walked away from his clinic cancer free.  These stories helped give me confidence.

With the help of Nancy Sanderson within a week we had come up with a plan of suggestions.

WHAT WE DID:

I explained to my folks that cancer was an aggressive disease, and that to fight it they would have to be just as, or even more aggressive than the disease.

IMMUNE BUILDING

My first goal was to build/help the immune system.  After all the chemicals he has taken I suggested he take some Inner Defense twice daily.

ADDING SUPERFOOD AND DECREASING ACIDITY

From my studies I felt that the next step was to try to lower the Acidity level.  I suggested he take Ningxia Red 3X/day and Alkalime at bedtime and to stay away from meat, especially red meat, and sugars.  Being Christmas time he wasn’t so sure about the food restriction.  I told him that moderation was better than eating a lot of any of it and he agreed to try.

ESSENTIAL OILS SUPPORT

Last, but most important, the oils.  I suggested a rotation of 6 oils over a two week rotation.  They used Frankincense, Sandalwood, and Ledum for three days. The next 3 days they used Frankincense, Sandalwood, and Lavender.  Frankincense, Sandalwood and Tsuga was used for the next 3 days.  Frankincense, Sandalwood, and Clove was next used.  The last two days they used Sandalwood and cloves.  At the end of the two week period they started the rotation over. Mom put the oils on my Dad’s back and feet.

MORE ESSENTIAL OIL SUPPORT

Once a week I gave him a raindrop.

RESULTS / REVISIONS / ADDITIONAL STRESSORS

My dad gave up the Ningxia Red after only one try.  He said it upset his stomach.  I tried to get him to take less, or take it with food, but he would have nothing more to do with it.  The first thing we did notice however, was that within 3-4 days the sores on his face had healed and were completely gone.

In a little less than three weeks after starting the oils my Dad went back to the Dr. for more tests.  His PSA count had dropped to 118.  The Dr tried to reason why it had happened, saying that sometimes when people go off the one drug the count drops for a while.  What my Dad didn’t tell the Dr was the drug was making him sick so he had gone off of it almost two months before.

Shortly after his Dr visit he was outside and slipped on the ice and fell, pulling a groin muscle making it so he could not lay on my table so we started doing the raindrop in the sitting position.  He tried the oils on the muscle pull, but even the V-6 did not get the fire out fast enough.  He is still having problems with the pulled muscle.

Two weeks after the first Dr visit he went back for more blood work and tests.  The PSA had gone up to 130.  About the same time his back started to break out and itch.  My folks became somewhat discouraged.

We quit giving the raindrops and only applied the oils to his feet.  About this time he fell on the ice again this time cracking some ribs.  He was unable to get up and lay in the snow for about ½ hour before he could get my Mom’s attention so she could get some help for him.

The oils are now starting to make his feet itch, especially between the toes, but he will allow the oils to be placed on the lower part of his feet.  The tests show that most of the cancer is in his lower back, so as for now we are still on target.

I’ve tried to explain that the itching is just the body trying to get rid of the toxins and have suggested he drink more water, but he says he has to get up too many times during the night already and he isn’t going to drink more.

TWO MONTHS LATER

It has now been two months sense he started on the oils and he went back to the Dr again.  His PSA count has dropped to 103 and the Drs say the cancer is in remission.  My Dad has told him what they are doing and the Dr just said “Well, keep doing it, and we will see you in two months.

In Dec Dad had no energy and could only walk a couple hundred yards before he had to sit down.  Now on a sunny day when he can walk where there is no ice he will walk about a mile before he tires.

Even with all the setbacks and problems the count is going down, and my Dad is getting stronger.  All I can say is that the oils work.  I think we have to remember that when fighting a disease we have to be aggressive, no, more aggressive than the disease we are fighting.

“Our children got a hold of a can of black spray paint and decided to color our brand new white minivan. The sides of the van and the front were covered in black when we found them. We used a pressure washer and scrub brushes and nothing was working—it was just putting scratches in my new van! As I stood there, I said to my husband, “Hey, why don’t we try lemon essential oil?” His reply, “Yes, go get it!” So, we started shaking lemon oil all over the sides of the van and with one soft wipe, the black paint came off!
